Hi! I’m Teacher Sue, a passionate English tutor originally from beautiful South Africa. With over three years of experience teaching English to adults from all over the world — from ages 18 to 60+ — I’ve come to truly love what I do: helping learners actually speak English confidently.
Whether you’re shy, uncertain, or simply tired of grammar-heavy lessons that don’t help you talk in real life, I’m here to guide you in a supportive, engaging, and personalized way.
Teaching Across Cultures
My journey as a teacher has taken me around the world — not just physically, but through the stories and lives of the wonderful students I’ve taught. Every student has brought something unique to the classroom, and that’s what makes teaching so meaningful to me.
My Qualifications
I hold a GA Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), earned through The TEFL Academy, one of the most respected institutions in English teaching education.
But my teaching experience started much earlier — in the corporate world. Since 2004, I’ve been presenting, coaching, and mentoring in the insurance industry, helping colleagues and clients understand complex ideas in a simple, relatable way. That’s where I discovered: I love teaching.
