Morning routine, is not just a routine.

Living in a neighborhood with great roads, does not mean all is great and well. Most mornings, I haul myself out of bed, follow my morning beauty routine, make my bed and tidy up. Do a light warm up and in my best workout gear. I have lost so much weight that I have to wear what I have and use safety pins just to keep it on. Lol! It's called inspiration and frankly no one cares a damn how you look or what you wearing.
The most important thing is the acknowledgement when passing each other on the road. You will find many friendly people along your route and happy to share a smile or a word or two. On rainy days, nope, not that easy, and I will not budge. As soon as the sun is out with a vengence, you will find me on the road, walking, jogging and believe it or not, stopping to help someone else exercise.
We see many people, walking to and from work, other joggers, some people walking dogs, and I would not trade it for the world. There are some sad spots, people sleeping on the roads, trying to shield themselves from the harsh cold and ground and that makes one think really hard. Have you ever asked yourself what is going through their minds , what they are thinking when they see us, dressed up, out for excercise, yet they live on the streets.
One morning, Friday to be exact, I went for my brisk walk. Along the road in the distance, I caught sight of and elderly lady, dressed in a jacket, beanie, quite warm, but almost hidden in the bushes, I could see that she was exercising. I walked right up to her and greeted her "morning mom" She looked at me in surprise. I stood next to her and said. "Right, feet apart, balance yourself, hold your two hands together, above your chest and then squat, she followed my every action. After 10 squats, I bade her farewell and went on my way. Happy in knowing that what ever her reason for standing and training was, so old, could simply, in my opinion be, is that she had to keep fit to keep her job.
